Rajiv Bhagwanbali is dancing tomorrow with Shailesh Bahoran at the British Academy event we have organised, ‘Thinking through dance.’ Raj Mohan will sing.Our Indo-Dutch-Surinamese trio is the space where hip hop meets bhojpuri. Rajiv’s specialisation is popping and here he was telling me how he sees popping as a way to understand and express his exploration of Indic spirituality.
‘So you are choosing to....’ I started saying. Raj cut me short. ‘It’s not a choice’, he said.
