Dear Jonuel,
Yesterday three White Helmet
centres in Idlib were bombed out of operation. Five volunteers were injured and
three ambulances destroyed. One of the centres was home to the volunteers who
responded to the horrendous chemical weapons attack in April.
The White Helmet volunteers are
already working to rebuild their centres, you can support them by donating to
replace the equipment lost.
This is Hamid standing outside
his bombed centre in Khan Sheikhoun. Before the revolution he was studying
Mechanical Engineering in Homs. Now he saves lives.
This attack comes almost exactly
a year to the day after three White Helmets centres were destroyed in Aleppo
City. More than twenty centres have been targeted in the last year.
The White Helmets continue to
serve, responding wherever they see a need. As well as rescuing civilians they
are helping people rebuild what they can: clearing rubble from homes, fixing
waterworks and electrical lines, and providing services for women at female-led
centres.
While governments remain
unwilling to stop these attacks, we the people must to do all what we can to
support the heroes who are helping people live.
With
love,
Anna
